DUITSLAND, DB NETZ AG :

Duitsland: het bekendste land als je over treinen spreekt... Ze waren de eersten om tegen 200 km/h in commerciële dienst te rijden (München - Augsburg), ze hadden het wereldrecord snelheid van meer dan 400 km/h met hun ICE (Inter City Experimental) tot het gebroken werd door de franse TGV Atlantique (515,3 km/h).

Tegenwoordig bezit DB Netz AG de spoorweginfrastructuur. Maar naast de historische operator DB AG (opgesplitst in DB Fernverkehr AG, DB Regio AG, DB Stadtverkehr GmbH en Railion (vroeger DB-Cargo)) zijn er ook vele private maatschappijen zoals HGK, Rail4Chem,... Zelfs het reizigersverkeer wordt vaak uitgevoerd door private operatoren zoals Connex, ALEX,...

Ik ben niet de enige fan van de Deutsche Bahn AG (DB AG), aangezien je hen terugvindt in bijna ieder book, tijdschrift of modeltreinencataloog.

They were the first to run at 200 km/h in commercial service (Munich - Augsburg), they had the highest speed world record of more than 400 km/h with their ICE (Inter City Experimental) till it was broken by the French TGV Atlantique (515,3 km/h).

Nowadays, DB Netz AG ows the railway infrastructure. But next to the historic operator DB AG (divided in DB Fernverkehr AG, DB Regio AG, DB Stadtverkehr GmbH and Railion (former DB-Cargo)) there are many private compagies like HGK, Rail4Chem, ... Even the passengers traffic is often executed by private operators like Connex, ALEX,...

I am not the only fan of the German railways 'Deutsch Bahn AG' (DB AG), since you can see them in almost every book, magazine or modell railway catalogue.
